Question: what is the difference of using a cctv monitor and household TV ?
Answer:Thge only difference I have noticed is that many (not all) CCTV monitors
have more lines of resolution.
Som mfgs claim commercial monitors will last longer, but that has not been
my experience.
We have been buying 19" and 20" color televisions and using them for both
B/W and Color applications for about 5 years now.
About the only time we use commercial video monitors is where we need to
install a lot of monitors in one location. That is becasue the really small
televisions don't have composite video inputs and we don't want to add the
cost of modulators, and most really small televisions seem to be poorly
built.
There are some small flat LCD monitors we are looking at for multi monitor
applications also, but so far they seem to be a little pricey.
