Question: I've tried a couple of the $50-75 range webcams (Creative and Logitech)
and found an obstacle I can't overcome. All I want to do is set the
webcam on a windowsill and take photos looking outside. Even so, both
the webcams I've tried are totally over-exposed to the point of being
nearly totally white when pointed out the window on a sunny day (no
direct sun hits the window). If I point the webcams inside, their
exposure is fine and their image is clear.
I can't find a setting to switch to "outdoor" or something similar. I
tried using settings in my software to turn brightness and contrast way
down but that didn't help at all. This shouldn't be a problem but it
is. How can I fix it?
