Question: I want to buy a fake security camera to mount on the ceiling of the
lobby in my building. I want the camera to have a little glowing red
light (ideally powered by a battery) and a fake cable that runs into
a hole in the ceiling. The camera will face toward the front door and
simply let everyone who enters the building know that they are being
"watched". I have been to Radio Shack and contacted several locksmith
places, etc.; nobody seems to have such a product. Does anyone know
where I can get a "camera" like this?
Answer:Try Canal Street, where you can probably find a real, albeit old, camera,
which you can then mount a light in. There are lots of electronics and
remainder places, particularly on the north side of the street west of
B'way/Lafayette.
