Question: We had an ADT Safewatch Pro 3000 installed over the weekend. The
installer informed me that the system is limited to two entry delays
which is contrary to what the sales person said to us when we signed
up for the system. It is imperative that all doors and motion
detectors have at least a 15 second delay (4 in all). Who is telling
the truth – the installer or the sales person? Is there anyway for
the homeowner to program the delays him/herself?
I have noticed that ADT Canada does not have any 6 month satisfaction
guarantee posted on the website www.adt.ca anymore. Is it true ? Yet our
sales person represented to us that there is such a program.
Answer:The panel has two time delays which is enough - one is for the doors (and
motions if you want them on delay instead of (stay home/away) and the other
is for the overhead doors.
And, that warranty is more of a gimmick since it doesn't do anything except
say that they will try to fix whatever is wrong.
