Question:
I'm not sure this is the right forum for this question, but here goes.
I'm trying to set up a video surveillance system that is nowhere near an
electrical outlet. So definitely I would need an external power source.
I looked around for a 10 hour or so rechargeable battery but couldn't
find any. I did find portable gas-powered generators but these are
(1) expensive (over $400), (2) require proper ventillation I don't have,
(3) overkill just to power a camera and recoding machine.
So really I'm looking for a large rechargeable battery that generates
AC current to power my system for around 10 hours. Is there such a
battery? I know there are UPS's, but these last only a half an hour or so.
Can you recommend a type of Surveillance Video Camera System without
electricity?Thanks for any help,
Answer:Couldn't you just power the camera with a battery and remote the rest of the
system at a location with wired power? My guess is that a video transmitter
wouldn't take much current.
