Question:
Looking for info/advice on camcorder to be used for security of my
home's external environs.Camera will be inside, so size is not a factor. Need
low light capability (camera is about 60 feet from subject) for night
recording (street lighting is only fair), date,time stamp, and long
recording time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Does anyone make a
time lapse recorder? Which is the best Spy Surveillance Equipment
Security Camera on the market?
Answer:I have a couple of Panasonic TimelapseVCRs, They are older top load models, but
built like a tank and have just been refreshed by factory service. They record
from 2 hrs. up to 20 days in several increments. I used a older full size VHS
camcorder on a tripod and AC power supply (no tape in cam or it will shut down
after a few minutes). They ran flawlessly for about a year and solved my
problem, no longer needed. If the power goes out they come back on in record
mode when the power returns. These have been the unit of choice for thousands
of in-store security systems for many years. $650.00 each if you are
interested.
