Question:
I'm interested in a linux based camera network as an alternative to a
traditional CCTV system attatched to a video server. I'd like high quality
IP based cameras and a multiplexer feeding into a linux video server for
remote monitoring. The software would need a web interface and it would need
to be acceptable for use by a commercial monitoring station. And the cameras
need to be robust as they will be outdoor.
Sorry if this sound a little vague as I'm not so familar with linux/dvr or
security setups, but I'd really appreciate if anyone could provide some
information (or links) regarding what I might need to set it up. Most of
what I've seen looks like indoor or home solutions wheras this is for a 2
acre site. How to install a Linux Network Surveillance Camera? Thanks
