Question: I was thinking of buying some fake surveillance camers for my studio
first does anyone know if its a good idea andalso has anyone dealt with
this company http://www.fakecam.com. Does Fake Surveillance Camera Work?
Please let me know
Answer:Well, IMO, it looks nothing like a 'real' camera. Any decent outdoor
camera will not have a plastic housing (especially one that LOOKS like
cheap plastic). Red LEDs are most commonly found on dummy cameras,
real camera have no need to show you that they are doing their job.
If you think you may need security cameras, then buy real ones, a
decent outdoor B/W camera is about $110, maybe $170 if you add IR
illumination for night vision. You can feed these cameras into a
video modulator ($165-$300) so you can watch them on a regular TV
channel, or plug them directly into the composite video inputs of your
TV/VCR. Don't, however, waste your money on this fakecam junk
